Bug Description

Binary package hint: xsane

Using ubuntu 8.10 beta (as at 03-Oct-08)
xsane is at v 0.995-3ubuntu2

When the save filename is specified in the 'browse for image filename' box any single digit in that filename is automatically prefixed by 3 unwanted leading zeros when the scan is performed. You have to re-edit the filename before saving to get back to the single digit you wanted.
Also it proved impossible to use Ctl-V to paste a string into that filename box; the mouse Right menu was needed to do a paste. I had previously used Ctl-C to copy that string from the filename box in the save dialog. The right string was in the paste buffer but Ctl-V didn't work.
