Bug Description
Binary package hint: mailx
Tried to install smartmontools from the 8.04.1 LiveCD. One of the dependencies is various exim4 packages, and these failed to install, which meant the whole package claimed to have failed.
This may be sensible (having an MTA running from a LiveCD would be odd), but perhaps the failure should be handled with more explanation?

I thinks exim4 shouldn't be installed at all. See bug #158909. recommends
To install smartmontools without exim run: sudo apt-get install smartmontools --no-install-
