Bug Description

I'm testing Ubuntu 8.10 beta live CD.

When I click on the NetworkManager icon on notification area, it shows the same connection twice, as you can see in the screenshot I attached.

Besides that, the connection works OK.

Thanks in advance.

This also happened for me after a GDM restart. I see the same group of wireless networks 3 times. I also was prompted with the "wifi password" box to fill in the details (although the password was populated already). The wifi connected but with no reception bars and I had no connectivity. Clicking on the 1st instance I was then connected OK.

Screenshot attached.

I installed Intrepid in my hard disk, and after an upgrade I see the same problem again. I attach an screenshot to illustrate it.

The problem is still reproduced sometimes during packages upgrading.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release, Intrepid Ibex 8.10 or even in the development version, Jaunty Jackalope 9.04? Thanks in advance.

Yes, in fact this happened to me yesterday (18th Feb 09) with all patches applied on Ubuntu 8.10.
