Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet

Even if /apps/fast-user-switch-applet/show-presence-info is set to off, the presence info is shown in the applet instead of the generic "exit" icon.

This works for me. By disabling the show presence Gconf key the presence information disappears and the user switching and session management stays.

Perhaps you have an older version, the shutdown icon was broken in earlier versions.

No, 2.24.0-0ubuntu2. I am using Empathy, that may be the issue.

By disabling the show-presence-info key the presence information really disappears, but after changing pidgin's status the presence icon in the applet appears again.
