Bug Description

After upgrading from 8.04.1 to Intrepid beta, generally having problems with system sounds (i.e. drum roll at the GDM login screen doesn't always sound off, and even though I have enabled them, there are no click sounds when I click on something in the menu bar at the top of the screen).
