Bug Description

I tried to launch Skype from command line:

carlos@kropotkin:~$ skype &
[1] 9151

I loged in with username and password and the programme crashed. The console reported the following:

carlos@kropotkin:~$ ALSA lib ../../src/conf.c:2700:(snd_config_hooks_call) Cannot open shared library /usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_conf_pulse.so
ALSA lib ../../../src/control/control.c:909:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL hw:0

[1]+ Aborted (core dumped) skype

I am running Ubuntu Intrepid and this is the output of uname -a on my machine:

carlos@kropotkin:~$ uname -a
Linux kropotkin 2.6.27-4-generic #1 SMP Wed Sep 24 01:29:06 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
