Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

package network-manager-gnome 0.7~~svn20080907t033843-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: files list file for package `java-gcj-compat-headless' is missing final newline

The program cannot be removed with apt-get remove network-manager-gnome.
Same probleme with network-manager and network-manager-kde

Thanks for your report.

Affecting to java-gcj-compat since it seems to be the root cause of the failure. The filelist for java-gcj-compat-headless may be corrupted.

There is a solution for this kind of issue at http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=2635193&postcount=12

Hi Matthias, from where did you paste thoses lines ?
I can't see that in DpkgTerminalLog.gz . The update has been done on 2008-10-01 (last Log started: 2008-10-01 19:58:00) and you're referring to logs from 2008-10-17 . Likely a paste in the wrong window.
