Please, try to run firefox using a clean profile in order to see if the problem comes from one of your extension: firefox -safe-mode

It your problem still occurs, try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs and http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details.

Set to incomplete until we have more a backtrace or more info.

Very weird...
Do you have remove firefox 3.0 before the installation of the debug firefox?

RyanO (rhino20049) wrote :

no it does not. I need the Beta 5 Package of FireFox 3.0 to get this debugging to work. Is there another package that will do the exact same thing but for Intrepid Ibex?

The crash happened again. I still cannot get a retrace as there are no packages for Firefox 3.0.3. I had the following tabs open:

1) Gmail
2) My websites: ryanorser.com superspeedycomputerrepairs.net
3) Google Analytics
4) Advertising networks that I use for my websites.

I hope this will give us some new ideas on how this bug can be fixed.

There is a problem with debug packages of firefox on Intrepid; you can subscribe to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/259900 to be aware of possible solutions.

It still is crashing once every couple of days. I have check out and subscribed to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/259900 and yet it is still undecided. I hope that this will not impact the release of 8.10 and I know I am using the beta, but I believe that this needs to be fixed for the final release.

Hi,

unfortunately your crash report didn't yield the required information. This can eventually happen. Please go ahead and submit new crash reports in future.

Thanks for your contribution,
