What do you mean by "goes weird"? Could you get a screen shot or a photo of the problem?

i didn't know whether i should use sudo -i command before the lspci -vvnn, so i did both, since i saw "Capabilities: <access denied>".. this one i did without the sudo -i command. if u need anything else let me know, thanks!

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

In the meantime it would be helpful if you could test the latest Ubuntu 8.10 and tell us if your issue still exists. Thanks for your support!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I'm unable to reproduce this problem with intel graphics in karmic. The animation is perfect.

Well I tried the live CD of the beta release of Karmic, the animation was perfect. However, the animation I tried wasn't that of the desktop cube, but desktop wall, for I wasn't able to install advanced desktop effects in the live session. Moreover, the desktop wall animation is flawless in Jaunty too, which means being flawless in Karmic does not necesserly mean that desktop cube is also perfect. Sorry i couldn't be more helpful! If the issue is solved in the new release I will let you know.

The problem persists even in Karmic.. I just gave up and put Desktop Wall instead on Desktop Cube..
