Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus-sendto

(i'm not sure if it is a nautilus-sendto, a nautilus or a ubuntu-desktop bug)

Some people only have a webmail and don't care about Evolution or any other mail software : they handle mails within the browser.
However they can't remove the "Send to" entry in Nautilus context menu since there is no Gconf key for that and nautilus-sento can't be removed since it depends on ubuntu-desktop.
"Send to" context menu should not be mandatory.
There should be a way to disable that entry or to properly remove nautilus-sento.

(Moreover, if i want to add a nautilus context menu entry to send items with my webmail (1), i will have 2 entries which will be confusing)

Ideally nautilus-sendto should not be hardcoded and it would be possible to select popular webmails like Gmail.
We are in 2008 and GNOME doesn't handle very well web services IMO

thank you for your bug report, that's not a nautilus-sendto bug if other softwares depends on it though, also nautilus-sendto is not specific to mails it sends files over internet messengers and bluetooth too for example and you can uninstall ubuntu-desktop if you don't want to install everything which is recommended for the default installation

Changed in nautilus-sendto:
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Invalid
