download failure, no longer access Thunderbird

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xulrunner-1.9

Clicked on downloads available, one file broken but can not repair it and now my Thunderbird email will no longer open and the icon has been removed from my desktop

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you?
Did you try Arnaud's advice or can you try "sudo aptitude reinstall xulrunner-1.9"
