Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

In Baobab, there is an option in the right click menu for charts called "Save snapshot". If I use this, the resulting image is completely black.

This is Intrepid.

Changed in gnome-utils:
status: Unknown → New

I didn't have the chance to test on intrepid, but on ubuntu 8.04 and gnome-utils 2.24.0 I do not confirm this bug. Baobab is correctly saving snapshot images. Maybe the bug is not related to this package?

It's not a Hardy bug, only Intrepid. Here is an example of my output. Upstream say they don't get this bug, so it may be caused by something else. (cairo?)

Actually attach it this time...

I have tested on a vanilla install of Intrepid with all the latest updates and it works as expected. gnome-screenshot is in the same package and also links to Cairo. Do you see the same problem with that? Applications -> Accessories -> Take Screenshot

No problem with gnome-screenshot. The real problem is Metacity's compositor, disabling makes it work.

I would change the gnome-utils status to "Invalid", but for some reason, I'm not allowed to.
