error during upgrade from 8.04.1 to Intrepid

Binary package hint: update-manager

I received an error while upgrading from 8.04.1 Server Edition to Intrepid. This is from /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log:

2008-09-28 20:45:30,699 WARNING cache.commit() error and pkg_failures == 0, generate a report against update-manager to investigate

It looks like there was an error upgrading the ampache package. I had previously installed this package from a PPA.

Here is what is causing the problem:

Setting up ampache (3.4.3-0ubuntu1) ...

dpkg: error processing ampache (--configure):

 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

There was a know problem in ampache-3.4.3-0ubuntu1. This bug has been fixed in ampache-3.4.3-0ubuntu3 upload.

ampache (3.4.3-0ubuntu3) intrepid; urgency=low

    * Added prototype symlink creation to debian/links. This means that
      ampache no longer includes a convenience copy of the prototype
      javascript library, and instead is able to use the system one by
      symlinking it to where ampache expects to find it. (LP: #276945)
    * Added debian/dirs to create /usr/share/ampache/www/modules/prototype
      directory, allowing the above symlink to be created within
    * Updated debian/rules to read dh_install -Xprototype.
    * Reworked server restart and removed db_purge and db_stop in
      debian/ampache.postrm so ampache.postrm would complete.
    * Used full pathname for migrate_config_inc in debian/ampache.postinst.
