duplicate audio playing when using the slider and crossfading is enabled

When I listen to a music and want to go for example to the minute 1:00 of the playing music, it does it but when I change the music, the first one is still playing on the background and I have to restart Rhythmbox to "fix" the problem.

Are you using the crossfading backend?

Yes I'm using the crossfading backend. I've noticed that when I disable it I haven't the problem. Will a fix be released for Gnome 2.24?

I don't notice this behavior connected to skipping around within a song, but it does seem to happen randomly whenever crossfading is enabled. That is, whenever crossfading is enabled, rhythmbox will occassionally start playing two songs simultaneously. If I pause rhythmbox, one of the songs is still playing, and it doesn't stop until I restart rhythmbox.
