gthumb does not clear screen when viewing large photos fullscreen

Bug Description

In fullscreen viewing large photos in transition from portrait to landscape, or vica-versa, the previous photo is not cleared and will "lay behind" the current one. This happens at random with pictures that are automatically resized (Fit to window if larger).

The bug occurred only during a short period in the 8.10 alpha6 release.
I can't reproduce this bug anymore, because I'm running 8.10 final now.
