Although Intrepid alpha4 has no problem with it,
alpha6 and beta cannot connect to network with hidden SSID and WEP hex key.
It says it has security with selection box contains only None item so it cannot continue.

attaching some screenshots:
screen1: note that in alpha6 there is not more two separate items for WEP hex and WEP ascii.
I don't know if the hex variant is missing or it is united with the other, but I used this displayed item
for setting a hex key.
screen2: there is only "None" item in combobox and "Connect" button is always disabled.

The same problem in Intrepid beta.
Hope it will be fixed before release,
because no connection means it would not
be possible to install an update that would fix it!

I confirm this bug.

I upgraded to Intrepid last week, and now I no longer have wireless connectivity. (And since I have no ethernet connection, I have to work in Windows. *grrr*)

What happens is this. I use a hex password to connect to a wireless router. There is now no "hex password" option in the username/password screen. Plus, after I copy and paste my password into the field and later go back to it, the hex string has changed to a different hex string.

Both green dots light up in the applet, and the mouseover tells me it is waiting for a network address. It never does connect.

The current design should NOT be part of the general release -- it is totally broken.

Suggestions for a workaround so I can get my internet going again would be welcome.
