Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Came across this trying to identify a massive apt slowdown and thought I'd report it.
Gnome-power-manager seems to show up frequently using about 3% CPU. It also loads nearly 8 seconds after all other panel applets, occasionally disappears from the panel, and on logout, causes a dialogue come up which asks if you'd like to wait for it to quit itself or force quit pretty much every time. Analysis with power-top also shows that it the single program most commonly waking the cpu from its lowest power state when the computer is otherwise idle.
Seems like suspicious behaviour for something that's supposed to be helping your battery life.
