I got the same question, can't got ethernet to work.
Now I ubuntu 12.04.I thought the problem maybe the network driver is disabled. when I used command "lshw -C network", it told me that "-network UNCLAIMED".
I'm searching for the proper way to enable the driver again.
If someone knows how to solve this problem.Please give your hand, all us in trouble will appreciate you very much.
