Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I'm using GPM 2.24.0-0ubuntu2 on a Vostro 1500. The problem just below wasn't present with GPM 2.22.

When the battery is discharging, the displayed battery level in the icon in the notification area is wrong. But if I click on this icon to have more details about the battery status, then the battery level is right.

I attached a screenshot as an example : when I put the mouse cursor on the battery icon, it says that it lasts 63,4% of the battery. But if I left click and click on the battery in the context menu, the detailled window says that it only lasts 4,0% (and it actually lasts 4,0%). If I want to see the charge history, again the wrong value is displayed.

When charging the battery, the correct level is displayed everywhere.

Another capture, this time while charging, and showing a 38V voltage when my battery is a 19V model...

Thanks,

Since my bug report had been the first to be created, I think that the other bug should have been marked as duplicate as this one, and not the contrary ;-)

But anyway, that's not really important !
