Bug Description

So, here is the sequence of event which has resulted in this bug.

I have configured two imap with different ids on my gmail accounts.
Do not open the kde wallet or network manager on login. Kontact will ask for credentials to open kde wallet. Press cancel. Then kontact will ask for user id and password for accessing the imap server. If I do this kontact deletes one of my account and sets the imap server of the remaining account to blank and it continuously keeps giving me error of unknown host. And then i have retype the imap server name and also i have to reconfigure my new account.

Same problem here.
I have two (disconnected) imap accounts. In the same situation described before, "If I do this", kontact deletes the host name of one of my accounts, thus giving the "Host unknown" error ad libitum.

In my case, kontact does not delete anyone of my accounts.

Using Kubuntu 8.10, KDE 4.1, Kontact 1.3, Kmail 1.10.3

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
