nautilus-cd-burner will not burn, keeps aasking for media

Running Breezy badger 5.10, and everytime I try to write to disk, it comes back
and asks for media. I have under 700 mbs every time, and yet no burn with
nautilus-cd-burner. I have tried to tick on "burnproof" but it dosent help. I am
able to use Gnome baker, but would rather use natilus. I know of others with the
same issue. I have the same problem on my system at work as well as my system at
home.

This seems to be http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324252 - it is fixed
in releases after 2.12.2 (which never made it into Breezy). I daresay we don't
have this fixed through breezy-updates, but in Dapper - as soon as you're able
to test this in a Dapper installation, could you please give feedback how that
works out for you?

Oops, it seems to not have been fixed. The Upstream developer ask for the output of 'lshal' and 'list_cddrives'. To get the list_cddrives command, I'd like to ask you to do this:

  $ mkdir stuff
  $ cd stuff
  $ apt-get source nautilus-cd-burner
  $ sudo apt-get build-dep nautilus-cd-burner
  $ cd nautilus-cd-burner*
  $ ./configure && make list_cddrives
  $ ./list_cddrives

Please attach the output of the last step as a file.

If you use an i386 installation you download it directly from http://people.ubuntu.com/~seb128/list_cddrives that will be easier

OK, get this, on my home PC I have a pioneer dvd-rw. Natilus-cd-burner will
work without fail. I will get teh info to you tomorrow from my work PC.

Same problem here with a dvd+rw already burned. n-c-d keep asking for a media, instead it should ask for blanking the disk.

Can you please try that again with dapper's latest nautilus-cd-burner? It should fix CD burning at least to a large degree. Thanks!

Will try as soon as dapper comes out. I have been able to burn as of the
last 2 days with a different cd-burner. faster one seems to work, may be a
fluke though.
