Bug Description

Binary package hint: acpi-support

I have added some access functions to get the state of the wireless LED and get/set it for the bluetooth LED on Asus laptops. I use them in my personal wifi toggle switch script, which I may contribute later ..
They also will be used in the bluetooth init script (at least by me).

The patch was made against the state-funcs of package version 0.109, I hope it's useful.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help to improve Ubuntu.

The acpi-support package is being phased out, so I don't think we should be adding these new functions to it. Furthermore, bluetooth / wireless LEDs are expected to be controlled by the kernel, and not require manual updates from userspace; if you have situations where you need to toggle the LEDs manually to get them set correctly, I suggest you file a bug against the linux package.
