Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubufox

I only have "Go Back", "Go Foward", "Refresh", "Stop" and "Ubufox Home page" on my FF3.
I want to add TabMix Plus toolbar shortcuts but they arent available.
This worked on previous versions and works to on Windows.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.2) Gecko/2008092000 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.1 ID:2008091716

Disabling the Ubufox addon I can again control my toolbar.

can you still reproduce after reenabling ubufox? I have no problem to modify the toolbar while ubufox is used.

Do you mean you can modify toolbar when ubufox is enabled? or does it
not make a difference enabled or not

I can reproduce this behavior. I have a Firefox profile that I use for quite some years now that has a custom navigation bar. I updated to Intrepid and the nav bar was restored to Firefox' default look. I tried to change it, terminated firefox, startet it again and my changes were gone. Disabling Ubufox enables me to change the nav bar again and preserve the changes. Engabling Ubufox brings back Firefox' default nav bar, disabling it brings back my changes.
I created a new fresh Firefox user profile with Ubufox activated by default and changed the nav bar and the changes were still there after a restart. Installing Tab Mix Plus immediately returns the default nav bar again.

This did not happen when I still used Hardy, so it's a regression.

This problem is probably a duplicate of #278698 .

Hello,

I have the same problem since last upgrade of Firefox to 3.0.3 version in Ubuntu Intrepid.

When Tab Mix Plus is activated, if I modify the buttons on my toolbar (for example I add "New tab" button), at Firefox restart they disappear.

Here is a discussion on the Tab Mix Plus site :

Best regards,

Installing http://tmp.garyr.net/tab_mix_plus-dev-build.xpi (today) and http://tmp.garyr.net/dev-builds/tab_mix_plus--test-build-20081027.xpi don't help to me. When I disable Ubufox extension, all works good.

I have the same problem.

The package "ubufox 0.6" installs the add-on "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications 0.6", and it disables all extra icons on the navigation toolbar. I have extra icons like: adblock plus, Feed Sidebar, ViewSourceWith, Downloadhelper, etc.
I also have the TabMixPlus add-on, but I cannot find a specific problem with that add-on.

Solution: disable the Firefox add-on "Ubuntu Firefox Modification". Restart Firefox. Click with the right mouse button on the navigation toolbar to set the extra icons on the bar again.

If you enter TabMixPlus' preferences, under the 'Sessions' tab, if you untick the 'Enable Session Manager' option and restart firefox, both ubufox and TabMixPlus will work in harmony.

How can you do this:

If you enter TabMixPlus' preferences, under the 'Sessions' tab, if you untick the 'Enable Session Manager' option and restart firefox, both ubufox and TabMixPlus will work in harmony.

if the tabmixplus session manager is not enabled. The dialog you refer to only appears if you uncheck ""use firefoxex built-in session restore feature".

Does this imply that you're disabling both session managers?

The new ubufox 0.6-0ubuntu1.8.10.1 (interpid-proposed) solved the problem for me!
