Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Every time I select or add a picture to the document in OpenOffice.org Writer, Open Office raises all other windows on top of the Open Office document. I've included a screenshot of what happens after I select a picture (Open Office was in focus and maximized before this). This seems to be a problem with the way Compiz plays with Open Office, as when I change my WM to Metacity, everything works fine.

I have a Mobility Radeon X1400 and am using the "ATI accelerated graphics driver"

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility X1400 (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: Lenovo Thinkpad T60 model 2007
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
        Memory at d8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
        I/O ports at 2000 [size=256]
        Memory at ee100000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at ee120000 [disabled] [size=128K]

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
