Bug Description

Binary package hint: k3b

The updated package (1.0.5-1ubuntu6) of k3b depends on k3b-data, which is not available, thus it cannot be installed:

k3b-data (= 1.0.5-1ubuntu6) (UNAVAILABLE)

* k3b-data got architecture all (i.e. only gets built on i386)
* -ubuntu6 also introduced a new package which is also architecture all (also only gets built on i386)
* new packages must be approved by an archive admin (actually not just the actual binary package, but the whole set of binary packages for a specific architecture)

This means there is no -ubuntu6 on i386 yet (awaits approval), same applies for the packages with architecture all, which causes the reported issue.

Targeting ubuntu-8.10-beta and subscribing archive-admin.

Changed in k3b:
importance: Undecided → Critical
milestone: none → ubuntu-8.10-beta
status: New → Triaged

fixed, but really, I don't see that it should be necessary to file bugs about the existence of packages in the NEW queue...

From my point of view as a normal user I just see that it doesn't (didn't) work, so it's normal to file a bug, isn't it?
