Epiphany cannot post Russian comments in LiveJournal

I've tried to post a comment in Russian in Live Journal, but got a message that my browser does not support Unicode. See the screenshot.

I was also unable to recover the text I posted, it was transformed into rectangles, so I even cannot copy it into another browser and repost.

does it work in other webbrowsers? could you open the bug on bugzilla.gnome.org directly, that's not an ubuntu specific bug

Should I report here on Launchpad only Ubuntu-specific bugs?

you can report any ubuntu bug on launchpad, the ubuntu team doesn't have the ressources to work on all those issues in a distribution specific way and the launchpad bug triager mostly copy good bug descriptions to the upstream bug tracker, you can do that directly too to reduce the workload on the ubuntu bugsquad and have the bug read by the software hackers
