Binary package hint: synaptic

The whole nvidia screen settings just crashed when I connected an external screen to my ubuntu laptop... Using Hardy Heron. The settings 1440x900 wont work, only 1024x768 works... help?

Not a security vulnerability.

The crash is actually in synaptic, the package installer.

Haven't had any simular, or any bugs at all for that matter in Ubuntu
