ThinkPad R50e Screen Brightness on Startup

Bug Description

On startup, either boot or restart session, my screen brightness gets reset. It even resets it on power down and I have to adjust it even when booting into XP. If I turn it up too soon during the KDE4.1.1 boot process (using hardware control 'Fn Home') or on session restart, it will reset again at or around the login screen.

I would think one could set the screen brightness to remain at full bright on startup. Instead it goes to about half power.

Thanks

Kevin
