Bug Description

Using Kubuntu 64 bit 2.6.27-3 Alpha5 kernel. I have a number of boot options. When I select the 7th item in the Grub Editor - KDE Control Module as default it actually boots into the sixth item, so in order to select Ubuntu 8.04.1 I have to select Windows NT/2000/XP (loader) in the menu. I've attached my menu.lst file.

Can you reproduce this bug using the latest version (0.8.5)?

Yes, I can confirm the error is still there.

I think this is because kgrubeditor breaks the separator entry, in menu.lst, where says

title Other operating systems:

should be

title Other operating systems:
root

when grub loads, it ignores that entry and doesn't show it, so you have one item less and the default option is off by one.

Yes m4v, I agree. If I manually edit menu.lst and add root below 'Other operating systems' and save the file, when I use kgrubeditor it removes (or leaves out) this 'root' command, hence the problem.

Fix committed. Will be in version 0.8.5 (which will be released in a couple days - I am just waiting to see if any other critical bug appears).
