No idea what happened. I just launched akregator, which only opened to a blank pane.

Did this happen again since you reported this issue? (i.e. with 4.1.2)
Is it reproducible for your? If so, please install kdebase-runtime-dbg and get a new trace.

This bug also occured when I closed user management window on my Kubuntu Lucid Lynx Alpha 2.

Most likely unrelated, please file a new report with a backtrace from the KDE crash handler against userconfig.
