Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde

There's a folder view widget on the desktop, which is for desktop itself.

I added a application launcher on it. It was Firefox. And I wanted to rename it. Right-clicked on it, and clicked on rename.

As usual, it allowed me to changed the name of the icon. But when I clicked on the free part of the desktop widget to save the new name, it didn't save it. The old name remained there.

Then I added another folder widget to the desktop, to try if rename working on folder names. It was my home folder. The same problem repeated here as well.

Can't reproduce it either.

Please note that you need write permission... e.g. you won't be able to rename your home folder as you don't have write permission in /home but only /home/username.

Changed in kdebase-workspace:
status: New → Invalid
