gtkpod fails to read the genre id3 field properly

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gtkpod
I've realize that some genres gtkpod fails to read properly. I've changed a
genre from gtkpod and then look at it on Songbird or iTunes, and it
displays the number related with the genre, not the genre, and if I change
it in these other softwares, gtkpod displays a number instead. Even when
the genre is changed by eyeD3, gtkpod fails to read this properly. I hope
you can fix this as soon as possible, thanks for everything.

This behavior has been changed in 0.99.14.
In addition, there are known issues with the id3 library used in gtkpod, we're working on replacing it. (I'm one of the developers)
