Bug Description

Dell Latitude D820, recently upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04. Previously, I had hardly any problems with suspend and hibernate. Now it doesn't work at all. When it tries to resume, just displays a black screen and I can't open any virtual terminal to see what might be going on.

Attaching syslog output from when I suspended and attempted to resume earlier today, which was a typical failure.

Hello,

Is there anything I can do to help progress this? I understand that people are likely to be busy on Intrepid Ibex stuff, rather than looking at Hardy issues. Since this is my work laptop that I use day to day, I'm a little reluctant to start testing the alpha on it. I had a very stable Gutsy installation, and I've hit a few issues with Hardy.

I can provide more logs if required, but otherwise I'm just Googling to try out stuff. Any pointers appreciated.

Cheers,

James

Seems to be fixed in Intrepid, when I upgraded earlier this week. I should be able to confirm early next week whether I've seen any re-occurrence of the problem.

No problems so far. Very happy with Intrepid.
