Screen Fades to Lock/ScreenSaver While in Use

Bug Description

Under 8.04.1 64 bit I am running a dual screen setup with separate instances of X using the nvidia proprietary drivers. The screen will fade to black as it does when initiating the screen saver / lock despite the computer being in use. Literally in the middle of a sentence or mouse click the screen will start fading. Sometimes moving the mouse to the other screen will cause it to stop, but sometimes I have to hit a couple keys on the keyboard - I think it is unresponsive when it first starts fading. This happened on the default theme, but seems to have gotten worse when I switched to the NewWave theme (it is less responsive to mouse/keyboard when it starts fading).
