Bug Description

Binary package hint: tracker-search-tool

When I open tracker-search-tool (from the command line, by clicking the tracker icon, or by pressing the Search key on my multimedia keyboard) and look for a specific string, the GUI fails to open the results. It doesn't matter whether I double click the result, or right click them and select "Open".

The terminals reveals the following error:
Er is een fout opgetreden bij het tonen van url: Er is geen standaardactie geassocieerd met deze locatie.
Translated: cannot open the file, as there is no program associated with it.

A trace log indicates that tracker-search-tool parses "/usr/share/applications/defaults.list", but doesn't find a match which causes it not to know what application it should call to open the file.

(Shouldn't it be using gnome-open ?)

i can confirm this as standard (mis)behavior. of the hundreds of times i have tried, it worked only once for me ever, with a text file. then it stopped working again immediately after.
