Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
I am using Ubuntu 8.10. After discovering that nvidia 96.43.05 is not compatible with the latest X, I switched to the nv driver, version 1:2.1.10-1ubuntu2. In X only, the screen flickers on every keypress, even though 2d graphics is otherwise as expected. By flicker, I mean a small (~200px by 1px) horizontal line that appears at random parts of the screen.
My xorg.conf is the default. To confirm that, I ran 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg'.
My video card is a GeForce4 Ti 4200 Go AGP 8x.
