Bug Description
When I insert a data CD it is automatically mounted, and an icon for it appears on my desktop. However, if another user also has an active GNOME session, and that user has started his/her session before me, the CD is actually auto-mounted by that user's account. This means that the currently active user is prevented from unmounting it.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Log in as user A.
2. Select System->Quit and then choose Switch User.
3. Log in as user B.
4. Insert a data CD into your CD/DVD. Notice that it is auto-mounted and an icon for it appears on the desktop.
5. Right-click on the icon and choose Eject.
Result: You get an error popup dialog with the detailed text "unmount: only user A can unmount /dev/scd0 from /media/cdrom0". See the attached screenshot.
Expected result: Since user B has the currently active GNOME session the CD should have been mounted as that user, and he/she should therefore be allowed to unmount it.
Note: If I switch back to user A I can unmount the CD. So apparently the CD is auto-mounted using the account who's GNOME session was first started, instead of the currently active session.
Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'gnome-mount'; however, that package was not published in Baltix.
This bug was accidentally reported against gnome-mount in Baltix. It should have been reported against gnome-mount in Ubuntu. Can someone please re-assign it? I apologize for the inconvenience.
