warzone2100 crashes while saving a game

The game works OK, but when I try to save the game it crashes.

Yes, it happens every time I try to save the game.

The crash report is not helpful because there are no debug symbols in it.

Please use 2.1_rc1 instead.

Please test with 2.1.0~1.rc2-1 from the Jaunty repositories.

 I am confirming this issue because someone else stated it in this report.

According to upstream, this bug was fixed after beta 4. Please try to reproduce the bug in warzone2100 2.1.0-1 from the Jaunty repositories before confirming.

Either add the Jaunty repositories to your sources.list file to only upgrade warzone2100 and warzone2100-date or install updated packages.

Marking as fix released as this bug has been fixed in Ubuntu Jaunty, the current development branch of Ubuntu. For a backport request that will provide this updated package in the Ubuntu 8.10 backports repository, please see Bug 326279.

Same thing is still or again happening in 14.04 LTS. Is this problem addressed ?
