Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
when connecting to network using wep, one used to have the option of setting ascii key. in ibex only hex and password remains. as a result, nm cant connect.

I had the same problem here after upgrading to inteprid.
solved it by opening gconf-editor and browsed to /system/ networking/ wireless/ networks/ %ssidname% and reset wep_auth_algorithm (I think the value before changing was 12). (Setting wep_auth_algorithm to 1 also works for me). After next reconnect to the desired network I used the "old" wep (ascii) key with "wep 64/128-bit key" enabled.
