crashes when choosing a buddy icon

Bug Description

Every time I try to select a buddy icon Pidgin crash with a segmentation fault.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 and Pidgin 1:2.5.0-0ubuntu2~hardy1

Thank you for reporting this bug. Which protocol are you using? Have you tried different pictures?

I'm using XMPP, WLM(MSN Pecan) and IRC (but no icon for this one).
I've tried different pictures.

I've succeeded in changing the picture by disabling XMPP, changing it. It crashes then I restarted and the picture was changed. I've then re-enabled WLM.
Note that I'm using 'MyStatusBox' as plugin which enable me to choose different status for each protocol but different picture as well.

I believe this is because of "MyStatusBox". I'm experiencing the same problem on 2.5.1, too
