Bug Description

When compiz is enabled, and firefox is running fullscreen, trying cycling windows via 'alt-tab' causes the X-Server to freeze

also, Xorg.log shows repeatedly

[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.

It would be great if you could also attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and the output of `lspci -vvnn`.

I just tried compiz again, and it doesn't freeze anymore, but instead it does a epilepsy inducing flickering when window cycling hits the respective fullscreen application (it's not firefox specific, a fullscreen gnome-terminal has the same effect)

Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg autodetect your display and video card? Please also attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt. Thanks in advance.
