Remove "Set internal options..." from the GUI

In the settings menu, there is a mysterious "internal settings" item which is apparently as it says only meant for experts... Why is it there??? If something like this is really needed, it could probably be enabled with some command line option, but as it is, I think it should be removed from the menu.

Sorry but then it should be a little more clear what it does and if it is only needed for testing purposes it could easily be enabled by a command line switch or something like that.

Synaptic is a pretty advanced program anyway; I think the title "advanced users only" is enough; why would we require a command line option to enable it???? closing.

Synaptic already includes this as a commandline option: --option=option. These kind of undocumented features don't belong in the gui. Even the help file and the manpages make no mention of what options are possible there. And the wording in the dialog suggest you can screw things up as well with this if you don't know what you do.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
