Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu Firefox Modifications add-on overrides userChrome.css from Firefox profile, when I disable the addon userChrome works. Shouldn't userChrome.css and userContent.css should be the last in the cascade?

Also when I open profile manager there are no profiles listed there, not even default, and if I try to create a new one the default location is in /root/.mozilla/... Is this expected?

Is there a way to override ubuntu addon style settings for Firefox, and a list with all the modifications it does?

Update: after re-enabling the add-on the style from userChrome is still applied, it hasn't been stripped, so that is a good work around.

Confirming this bug.

Intrepid Ibex x64.
Firefox 3.0.3
Ubuntu Firefox Modifications 0.6

All of a sudden all my chrome preferences all disappeared and then new ones would not be remembered on reboot. Only after disabling this extension was this problem resolved. For me, re-enabling the extension brings the problem back.

i'm not sure if this relevant, but for meunabling the firefox modifications plugin cripples the google toolbar, and hind most of the buttons in the customize menu. everything appear fine when disabling the "ubuntu firefox modifications" plugin.

i use Ubuntu 8.10.

some notes to my last comment:

instead of "Adblock plus" use "Tab Mix Plus".

this was made with a new ff-profile.

For information
In my old and full blown profile, i disabled all my addons except "web developer" but the bar still disappears

The "Ubuntu Firefox Modifications 0.6" addon causes a problem of disappearing other addons' buttons.
When Tab Mix Plus and Web Developer are enabled, enabling Ubuntu Firefox Modifications hides all customizable buttons and the Web Developer Toolbar becomes empty also.
