Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Hi,
this evening network-manager prompted me for my WPA2 password (22 digits). When given the correct one, it prompted again, as if I had used a wrong password (password verified with "show password")
My router's a Netgear DG834G, I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 alpha 5 and network-manager's version is 0.7~~svn20080908t183521+eni0-0ubuntu2.
When it prompted, I had just logged on, but I was already connected via LAN cable..

Ok, Network Manager now connects, but only if i don't check "show password".
And... Where do I find the syslog? (sorry sorry sorry =_=)

No proble, I forgot I had opened this bug because NM finally got working and then I switched to Jaunty..
Until 5 minutes ago (when i plugged in my LAN cable because of lack of speed), NM+WPA2 was perfectly working ^_^
Thanks, however,
Claudio

I am experiencing the same problem with Jaunty (with latest updates as of 2009-04-03), the password for my WPA2 AP is not saved correctly. I have reported this with ubuntu-bug so my logs should be accessible, if not please let me know and I will attach them manually.
My WPA2 password is as following (I will change this afterwards so this is not a security risk for me):
coVMqiObuN9pQcuuFYAxN3PPrCTKxpcjLadEgo8b92eBb4zWgujVIbnjxPBd6dp
But network-manager reports this as:

NetworkManager stores passwords in an encrypted format, so it's pretty evident that your real password is not correctly shown.
