Multiple item selection bugs

I really like the selection of multiple items, but there are some quirks/bugs in its behavior:

1) If I arrow-down and select an item using comma, the item is selected but the cursor (so to speak) jumps back up to the top of the list. This doesn't happen when selecting subsequent items.

2) If I select multiple items and arrow-right a folder (thus opening it) and then select some items from there as well, and then arrow-left to go back, I can see that my previous selections in the original folder are kept; however, if I arrow-right again, the selections I made in the subfolder are not kept. Ideally, multiple selections should be persistent even if you navigate to a new location or refine your selection, and should only be discarded once the Do window is dismissed or Esc pressed.

3) I cannot select multiple items when exploring the contents of my shelf (using the Shelf plugin). This would be very useful.

I confirm the jumping behavior. I assume the other quirks occur as well.

A quick fix is not the best way to address this (except for the jumping). Multiple item selection may take a more thorough and document approach to nailing down the expected behavior.
