Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

1. Display widgets by either using a key or mouse gesture.
2. switch desktop using alt+ctrl+arrow
3. Hide widgets.
4. Show widgets again.

The screen comes up blank (no widgets).

What should happen is that the widgets should be on all desktops or they should be related to a specific desktop. Meaning widget x is on desktop 1 and only shows up on desktop 1. Or there is only ONE widget desktop. No matter what desktop your on you always see your widgets. I like the second option of having only one desktop. Perhaps you can add an option to choose. But as it is right now, the functionality is clearly broken.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
