This should fix the crash (anyway the offline message is not received, because it's not yet implemented)

I forgot to change papyon to pymsn, now the patch applies correctly

complete debdiff attached. but it's not completely fixed yet. I get another error. I will contact papyon developers

Just for the heck of it: I too encounter this bug. But now at least I know why it happens.
Is there any timeframe for implementation of offline messages in Empathy?
