postinstall script fails on mysql error

Bug Description

Binary package hint: dtc

after running: sudo ./install from the /usr/share/dtc/admin/install directory the install fails with the following error message

-> Installing or upgrading DTC database: dtc
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (usring password: YES)

Where does the install script get the mysql-username and pass from ?
can i edit them ?

It gets it from what you have entered in debconf, if you are talking
about this old version that is currently in Ubuntu. I guess that you
didn't enter things correctly. The newer versions are taking things from
/etc/mysql/debian.cnf to create a valid user with access rights
automatically.

By the way, the current version of DTC in Ubuntu is just a very bad and
old one, and I have never approved it's inclusion in the current Ubuntu
release. Please upgrade to the latest stable version from GPLHost's
Debian repository, it's in better shape. I have NEVER approved the
current version in Ubuntu, and I do not intend to support it either.

Ok, now how do I close the bug that you have just opened?
