Gnome-terminal when see the commands mc5=\E[5i and mc4=\E[4i not redirect the output text on the default printer.
This feature is very handy for printing from application programs that work with gnome-terminal.

Many Thanks

Thanks for your report, which version of Ubuntu are you running? that works fine for me, could you tell us a few easy steps to reproduce what you're seeing there? thanks.

No, not work on all Ubuntu version
please make a file "using vi" like this:
-----------------------------------
esc[5i
test test test test
test test test test
esc[4i
----------------------------------

(ESC command you do with "ctrl V and key ESC")

after write the command: "cat file"

This file is shown on screen and not go to the printer
... not work...

could you send this upstream at bugzilla.gnome.org if you're still able to recreate the issue? thanks in advance.

The bug has been upstream for years now but recently it gained more attention and might be on its way to get fixed. So hopefully we could stop relying on the ugly xterm soon :)
