No System-Sounds in Intrepid

Bug Description

I have no System-Sounds in Intrepid (with all Updates on Sep.06@14:54). When navigating to "Prefernces>Audio>Sounds", everything there is completely grayed out.

I don't have a clue, which package could be responsable for this.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. I don't think this is an issue with the kernel, but rather with gnome-sound-properties. It actually appears to be a duplicate of bug 258703 which Seb posted a comment as to why this is not working at the moment:
